If you spotted a scene from a DVD movie and find its potential to be a white canvas for your creativity and craft, or it could be used for illustrative purpose, makes your presentation glows. Anyway, you decided to have that clip but challenged with some technical issues as to how to capture the very clip from the DVD movie. Then here are the steps I'd propose for doing this:
To capture the video clip we need first to digitalize the movie DVD, which means ripping the DVD to your hard disk. This job can be done with DVD ripper software.
Download DVD ripper, the software supports to rip DVD to various video formats
Inset the DVD and launch the software.
Then set output video formats, for editing on windows platform, AVI format will be nice.
Now rip the DVD to AVI video.
Launch windows movie maker.
Import the AVI video to windows live movie maker.
In the Contents pane, select the video clip for which you want to create clips.
Click Tools, and then click Create Clips.
