Asus has today released a utility to unlock the bootloader on transformer prime, enabling user to install a custom rom on their tablet. the company promised to offer solutions to appease unsatisfied homebrew community when the news first broke that the prime’s bootloader was locked. Asus made the promise and see to it. The utility is available for download now. Along with the release of the utility, asus also gives warning on its website:
“Once you activate the [unlock app] you will not be able to recover your ASUS product (“Original Product”) back to original locked conditions;the Original Product with the activated App will not be deemed the Original Product; the Revised Product will no longer be covered under the warranty of the Original Product; the software of Revised Product will no longer be deemed the software of the Original Product and can no longer receive ASUS software updates; your purchased digital content may also be affected.

I am a person who deals much with video everyday. I have just bought a new Canon XF305 camcorder which produces very good quality video in the MXF format. However, this kind of video seems not favored by FCP X.
I wonder if there’s anyone who can recommend me a program (free or commercial both ok) that can rewrap or transcode my MXF files to the Apple Pro Res codecs in MOV container so that I can then load into FCP X for good editing.
Thus I have to look for a workaround for importing Canon XF100 MXF videos to FCP X for editing on my Mac OS X Lion. I turned to Yahoo Answer and was recommended to try Canon MXF to ProRes Converter for Mac. Thanks to the excellent tool, i succeeded in converting Canon XF100 MXF files to ProRes 422 MOV and ProRes 422 (HQ) MOV which are compatible to Final Cut Pro X. So that I can easily Import MXF into FCP X, export Process 422 at the same setting as the original for editing with FCP or playing it with Quicktime.

1. Download Canon MXF to ProRes Converter Mac, it’s a good MXF converter/transfer on Mac. You can import the MXF files.
2. Choose output format
